Privacy Policy
Effective date: 22 October 2026
AutoPost ("we", "us") uploads videos to YouTube channels on behalf of its users and publishes them on schedule. This policy explains what information AutoPost accesses, how it is used, how long it is kept and how you can delete it.
AutoPost uses YouTube API Services
AutoPost works through YouTube API Services. By using AutoPost you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. Google processes data according to the Google Privacy Policy.
What AutoPost accesses
When you connect a YouTube channel, you sign in with Google and allow AutoPost to use the scope youtube.force-ssl. AutoPost uses this access only to:
- upload the videos you send and set their title, description, tags, category, audience, AI-content label, privacy and release time;
- set thumbnails, add the uploaded videos to your playlists and upload captions for them;
- post the comments you provide on those videos;
- change the details of videos it uploaded when you ask it to;
- read your channel's ID, name and profile picture, so you can tell connected channels apart.
AutoPost does not read, change or delete your other videos, comments, subscribers or analytics.
What we store
- Access credentials (OAuth tokens) for each connected channel, encrypted at rest.
- The channel's ID, name and profile picture address.
- The files you send (video, thumbnail, captions). They are kept only until the video is published on YouTube and then deleted. If an upload fails, its files are kept so it can be retried, until you remove the upload.
- The details you send with each video (title, description, tags, release time, comment text) and the upload history: status, YouTube video ID and link.
- API keys you create, stored only as one-way hashes, and the dashboard password, stored as a hash.
- A session cookie that keeps you signed in to the AutoPost dashboard. This website uses no advertising or analytics cookies and no third-party services.
How we use it
Only to provide the service: to upload and publish the videos you send, show their status, post your comments and keep your channels connected. We do not sell your data, do not use it for advertising and do not use it to train AI models.
Google API Services User Data Policy
AutoPost's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Sharing
We send data only to Google and YouTube, to carry out the actions you ask for. We do not share it with anyone else, except when the law requires it. Data is stored on servers operated by AutoPost.
Keeping and deleting data
- When you disconnect a channel in the dashboard, AutoPost revokes its access token at Google and deletes the stored credentials and channel details at once.
- You can remove any upload from the history at any time; its files are deleted with it.
- You can revoke AutoPost's access at any time on the Google security settings page: security.google.com/settings/security/permissions. After that AutoPost can no longer act on your channel.
- To delete all your data, disconnect your channels or write to us. We delete the data within 30 days of the request.
Security
Channel credentials are encrypted, API keys and the dashboard password are stored only as hashes, and all connections to the service use HTTPS or stay on the same machine.
Children
AutoPost is not meant for people under 13, or under the minimum age for using YouTube in their country.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will publish the new version on this page and update the effective date.
